December 2011 - John Mills, Vadim Chebanov, Cobie Smit, Stefan Schmitz, Frank Lamm and Matthew McAllister gave a wonderful concert on Bert Kwakkel's 500th guitar. This special event was organised by the 'Gelders Gitaristen Podium' on the 29th of Octobre 2011.

Armrest for classical guitars
These days, Bert Kwakkel increasingly integrates armrests into his concert guitars. An armrest offers several advantages:
- Sharp angle eliminated for even more playing comfort
- Right arm no longer damps the top
- Right arm slides naturally,
which stimulates playing with tone coloring
There are three types of armrests:
- body height increased
